The procedure itself should not be painful as some form of anesthesia will be used. After surgery, you may feel some degree of pain, though this will vary from patient to patient. Further, there is typically more pain associated with the submuscular placement of the implant. Though any pain experienced usually clears up within two days or so, pain medication can be prescribed by your doctor.
