Liposuction Cost
The cost of liposuction can vary greatly based on many different factors, including your specific circumstances, the technique used, the number and size of areas being treated, and even your geographic location. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the average surgeon/physician fee charged by their member surgeons in 2004 for liposuction was $2,223. Keep in mind that, being a surgeon/physician fee, this does not include other related costs such as those for the anesthesiologist or the facility. Generally speaking, you can expect to pay anywhere from $1,500 to $7,500 for liposuction. Insurance typically does not cover liposuction, though coverage may be available to some degree in cases where liposuction is used for breast reduction. |
