Today’s Rhinoplasty has been perfected to change the shape of the whole or small part of the nose, making it fit more harmoniously with the rest of the face. Our patients in particular, not only see more harmony with the rest of the face, but also a very natural, aesthetically pleasing appearance. But it’s amazing to think how Rhinoplasty, which can be traced back to 600BC India, has evolved into where it is today. Recently a rare book from the 16th century detailing one of Europe’s early Rhinoplasty was discovered and auctioned off in the UK. This diagram shows just how far modern Rhinoplasty has evolved.
