Most of us do not have “cut-prone” professions. However, if you’re a mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) then listen up! Okay, so we were a little hesitant even discussing this because it’s obviously a little bit of a barbaric sport (the antithesis of beauty). But, in some strange twisted way the two polar opposite industries may be uniting in a way that you’d never imagine; receiving plastic surgery procedures to make MMA fighters less cut-prone! Apparently MMA fighter Marcus Davis (and others) have received a facial procedure by a Las Vegas surgeon where scar tissue around the eye socket is replaced with collagen. Although all of this sounds a bit crazy, this procedure apparently allowed Davis to continue his career and avoid retirement. Medical researchers have not proven the effectiveness of this procedure yet, but if it works its believed that it will extend the life of MMA careers and become the norm. If we had a “must read list of articles” (purely for shock value), this would be one of them!
