Check out this great Ulthera Result!

Ultherapy™ is a cosmetic procedure for lifting loose skin on the face and neck without the need for surgery. Ultherapy™ uses ultrasound energy, a technology that has been trusted by expectant mothers for decades, and it is the only energy-based aesthetic procedure that has been FDA-cleared for non-invasive lifting. This simple, non-invasive procedure strengthens the skin from the inside out with no downtime. After just one or two treatments the skin will gradually reflect a more lifted and refreshed appearance. Take a look at this Ulthera result one month after treatment. Call our office today to set up a consultation.

Understanding Injectables

Botox, Restylane, Juvederm…we’ve all heard these different names, but the usage and benefits of these injectables are very different. In this video, Dr. Miller explains these differences between these cosmetic injectables.  He also discusses how some of the newer injectables are more beneficial because they are longer lasting and comprised of natural substances that are found in the body.

The role of Volume Enhancements in Anti-Aging

The theory that aging is sagging skin is naïve. The fact is, the facial skin not only sags with time, but facial fat deflates, much like a balloon with a pinhole deflates. This deflation causes the skin to sag because as we get older, the elasticity of the skin, which was excellent when we were younger, is less as we get older. So, traditionally, having not recognized the role of deflation, we’ve done facelifts that pull the loose skin. Sometimes this looks good, sometimes it looks stretched and unnatural. Two solutions to this problem are Sculptra and Fat injections.

Rhinoplasty in-depth: Risks of Rhinoplasty

Filed under: plastic surgery — Tags: — Natalie @ 2:58 pm

For the next few weeks we’ll be intermixing our blog content with some great educational videos Dr. Philip Miller has made to help educate the public and answer questions on different plastic surgery procedures. We invite you to ask questions and share your thoughts through our Facebook & Twitter pages. Rhinoplasty is one of Dr. Miller’s most popular procedures he performs, but there are many misconceptions regarding the potential risks of the surgery. The most common risks associated with Rhinoplasty are post-operative bleeding and the formation of scar tissue on the inside or the bridge of the nose. Both of these problems are easily treatable and in the case of the scar tissue, a small steroid injection is all that’s required. Medicine is both an art and a science, so it’s common for patients to schedule post-operative visits – 1 week, 1 month, 2 months thereafter, 3 months thereafter, and 1 year – to monitor the healing process.

Dr. Philip Miller Buccal Fat Removal Video

Filed under: plastic surgery — Tags: — Natalie @ 12:19 pm

Buccal Fat Removal is a surgical procedure that enhances the appearance of the cheekbone and jaw-line area and is ideal for people with a very rounded face. The procedure involves making a tiny incision inside the mouth where the Buccal Fat pad of the cheeks is then removed. The results are a greater definition and contour to the face. In this video, Dr. Philip Miller shows you the procedure inside the operating room. This video depicts an actual surgery.
