Hello, today we are going to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of endonasal or closed and open or external rhinoplasty. Now what are the differences? External rhinoplasty involves making a small incision on the bottom portion of the nose and lifting up the entire skin. Endonasal or closed rhinoplasty makes all of the incisions on the inside of the nose and therefore you do not have any external incisions.

Which one is better? Well in many ways it depends on the hands of the surgeon. Excellent rhinoplasty surgeons know how to do both procedures and they know which of the patients they should do an external on and which they should do an endonasal rhinoplasty on. Neither an external nor an endonasal approach guarantees a good result. What matters most of all is the surgeon that you choose.
