About Dr. Douglas Steinbrech, Body & Breast Surgeon
Dr. Steinbrech is a Board Certified plastic surgeon who specializes in body and breast procedures such as breast augmentation and liposuction as well as minimally invasive aesthetics. He was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons under the American Board of Medical Specialties.
He was chosen as one of America’s Top Plastic Surgeons by the Consumers’ Research Council of America Surgical Training. Dr. Steinbrech trained in surgery for eight years at New York University in General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. In addition, he underwent training at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital by the iconic surgeons such as McCarthy, Baker, Tabbal, Aston, and Pittman.
Dr. Steinbrech has done extensive surgical research, and was the lead author in ten peer-reviewed publications and co-author in over forty others. He has been awarded grants from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation.
Dr. Steinbrech’s clinical appointments include Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, New York University Downtown Hospital, and Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Steinbrech educates the NYU Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residents at Bellevue Hospital and the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital Fellows.
He is involved in several philanthropic organizations including Smile Train, Rx: Art, The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction, and The Lenox Hill House.
