Central Park in New York

Central Park is one of the most well-known parks in the United States due to it being in the heart of Manhattan, the major region of New York City. It is a massive 840 acre park next to the popular shopping district 5th Ave with countless attractions. The attractions vary depending on the season, but some of the popular ones include the Belvedere Castle, the spring cherry blossom trees, and Strawberry Fields. However, one of the most popular things to do in Central Park is simply set up a picnic on a nice weekend afternoon with friends and family.

In Central Park is also a famous sculpture cherished by the city of New York, the bronze Alice in Wonderland. It is an eleven foot tall sculpture that depicts Alice and her friends from the famous Disney movie, and tourists flock from all over the world to take pictures and see this sculpture. However, if Disney isn’t your thing, there are many more sculptures in this massive park.

Another popular activity that tourists partake in is the horse drawn carriages along this area. These are carriages that fit about 2-4 people. And they are drawn by a horse conducted by another person. The one downside about these rides is that prices can get quite expensive due to the fare by the minute, especially if you take the long trek of going to Times Square to watch a Broadway musical.
